Jayadeva Institute sets a quality benchmark by securing its fourth consecutive NABH accreditation for patient care excellence

The state-run Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research in Bengaluru has once again affirmed its status as a premier cardiac care facility by securing accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) for the fourth consecutive cycle. This rare achievement highlights the institute's unwavering commitment to stringent safety standards, clinical quality, and robust hospital management. The accreditation followed a comprehensive assessment conducted in July by a seven-member expert team from the Quality Council of India (QCI), which evaluated the hospital across parameters including infection control, patient rights, and infrastructure standards.

What makes this milestone particularly notable is the scale at which Jayadeva operates. As an autonomous government institute, it handles a massive patient load of over 1,800 outpatient visits daily while continuing to offer highly subsidized treatment to patients across all socio-economic backgrounds. Institute Director B. Dinesh remarked that the recognition validates the dedication of the entire medical and support staff in delivering world-class care at affordable costs. By maintaining such high standards over nearly a decade of continuous accreditation, Jayadeva has set a powerful benchmark for how public sector hospitals can compete with private entities in quality assurance and patient satisfaction.
